I’ve just recently updated Liv’s shelf selection and she’s been very engaged with her new materials. She’s mostly been interested in outdoor and imaginary play, so we don’t have more Montessori materials out than this at the moment. Here’s what we have out right now:
Starting from top left, we have
- Handmade number cards with numbers and corresponding number of dots, for covering with flat marbles. The one card has 1 dot and this gets 1 flat marble, etc. Montessori numbers book for reference.
- Wooden numbers puzzle, similar as above but for matching number on one side to number of dots on the other.
- Knobbed Cylinders
- Peg puzzle
- Bird puzzle
- Sound cylinders
- Sewing/threading board
- Hole puncher with paper
- And on the very top, her current favorite, our new map puzzle with children’s Atlas.
