February Books

Feels like Winter flew by and though it’s a little early, I’m feeling a hint of Spring in the air (especially with the weather warming up). As we are shifting out of holiday mode and settling back into our regular routine, I’ve updated our book selection to a wider variety of topics, and included some of the wonderful books recommended by you other mamas that I follow. Thanks! Here is what we are currently reading:

  • Tiny Creatures: The World of Microbes by Nicola Davies
  • Many: The Diversity of Life On Earth by Nicola Davies
  • Book Of Bones: 10 Record-Breaking Animals by Gabrielle Balkan
  • City Moon by Rachael Cole
  • The Boy and the Whale by Mordicai Gerstein
  • Here We Are: Notes For Living On Planet Earth by Oliver Jeffers
  • Lines by Suzy Lee
  • Beyond the Pond by Joseph Kuefler
  • The Story Orchestra: Four Seasons in One Day by Jessica Courtney-Tickle
  • Windows by Julia Denos
  • The Emperor’s Egg by Martin Jenkins
  • Our Yard Is Full Of Birds by Anne Rockwell
  • So Many Feet by Nichole Mara
  • Wild About Bears by Jeannie Brett
  • Tracks in the Snow by Wong Herbert Yee

I also pulled out a copy of The Waldorf Book of Poetry from the library and we’ve been reading poetry from there daily.

What are some of the books on your shelves?
